Menthol

Menthol comes from mint leaves. In it's actual form it is a white crystalline material. It has a cool, soothing, odor. A certain type of Pain Balm I saw at my house contained menthol. Vicks Vapor Rub does contain menthol. Menthol is an ancient herbal medicine. Menthol Info:

If you ingest or inhale this compound as a lozenge then it will relieve cough, nasal congestion and sore throats. If you gargle with a large amount of menthol-containing mouthwash, it can cause a burning sensation. If you ingest alot of this compound, it will cause: abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, and coma.
