AGH!!! I still feel so tired! "Da Chicago Trip" was fun though. (Although, I didn't win.) :( I miss the coldness of Chicago though. Sometimes I wish I was back at Chicago. The day we came back from Chicago, there was something in the news that was touching to me. Many African-Americans moved to Chicago and states like that in the North to have freedom. But, now many are planning to move to "A Less Windy City." As some may know, Chicago is known as "The Windy City."

I got "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and " Gone with the Wind" after finally finishing that long book of Harry Potter.

Friday, October 14, 2011

I need to finish reading Harry Potter so I can take two other books......So, BYe!

Have you felt like you wanted to achieve something when you do bad in it? Well, that's how I felt when I got this grade. I'm trying my best to keep a good grade and I don't think I will do bad on our next tests. I need to pull the C+ out of the muck and raise it higher by getting a range between A+ to B+. Bye!

Monday, October 10, 2011

Poor, the needy......won't anybody help them? I wish I were the one.
LOUD, terrible songs in the morning........can't anybody listen to soothing music?
I would.
A mere child in middle school......suddenly, getting a bad grade in one of their favorite subjects? That's me.  :-(

Friday, October 7, 2011

Oh, I so love reading the Harry Potter series....... Today, we have a math test and our math teacher said that while we were doing the test, he would be reading Harry Potter....Not Fair!

Yesterday, was the best day of my life. I went to my friend's house, we worked on our Science Phase 1, studied for the history test and then I came home. But it was so, really, enjoyable. That was practically all my homework. I just had to print a couple of things when I got home........Whoot! Whoot!

I couldn't post yesterday because........ I HAD TO DO SOMETHING FOR SCIENCE!

                                                  UGH!

Tuesday, October 4, 2011

Please note that on "crazy test days" I will not be blogging anything but this. So, if the previous day was Monday and today I have a test. Then I am most likely going to be posting this. Thank You! Sorry for the inconvenience!

Monday, October 3, 2011

Yea, everything is set. Now, I know I'll be waiting there before them today. Over the weekends we had this celebration called "Colu." Technically, for me it would be "Colu" because the day I was at my trying-to-be-friend's house and she came to our house, we mostly played and talked. I'll get to see her tomorrow at my 5th period class. Which if some people may know as the terrible teacher. The mean, rotten, and nasty teacher....

Friday, September 30, 2011

Yay!!!!! I get to carpool with Ne-ne a friend of mine everyday except Mondays, because I have Math Club after school. On that day, I get to be with Jessy. I drop her off at her house and then I come home. At least I get to be with her on one day. Other days, I won't get to see her after school because she waits some place else. Not where Ne-ne waits. But still, I 'm excited.....I just have to make sure whether or not they will start it today or not.......so Bye!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday, September 29, 2011

Yesterday, was a pretty awkward day. (Not funny, but awkward.)..... So I ask my math teacher for an interesting math book he told us about before. Then by the time I get my stuff from my locker, it's kind of late. I then see Sabby who knows Jessy. I ask her whether she knows where Jessy is. Obviously, her answer would be a "No." It's just my unusual luck. So anyway, I get out and stand on the tippy-top of the steps. There, right across the road in which the school was on was Jessy with the friends she waits with. Ah! Ditcher! Now, I call my mom and she tells me she's going to scoop me up on the side where Jessy waits. So I cross the road, turn right, and then I notice my mom waiting in the car. But by that time, Jessy who was still waiting, noticed me. Happy to see her, I waved to her. She started walking to me and then we started talking to each other. Then I noticed behind her was a guy from my Round Robin. She had told me that she carpools with him, but it was just awkward when you know somebody and they actually carpool with your friend and you have to see him on Saturday! Anyway, she also made sure I didn't make my mom have to wait a long time. We talked a little about what tests we had and everything. Then, we gave each other a final hug....and said bye!

Wednesday, September 28, 2011

The sad thing about me is I need a little guidance to do something that I haven't even done before. The test contained many things I hadn't heard of, or never practiced. Maybe, if I knew better about what's in the test, I would have passed. The thing I still don't get is, to skip a year ahead in math, you need to know everything that you're skipping in math, not what you are going to do in math. That's for the teachers to teach you. Am I right or wrong?
So, please answer me. I am confused. I don't get this system at all.

Tuesday, September 27, 2011

That was my mom....... :P  Anyway, yes I go to middle school but probably have the most terrible grammar/English/vocabulary in the whole school. Nothing to be proud of. But, I do enjoy doing math. Although some may think not. I have a friend who is probably one of the math whizzes I know of in the world. She is very helpful if you don't understand something. Yesterday, my mom and I dropped her off at her house because we go for an afterschool math program held in our school that a math teacher enthusiastically teaches. That teacher just loves math! Well, how I can tell that my friend is a math whiz is because she won first place in Math Olympiad, she used to get really high scores in math tests and quizzes in 6th grade while we got 80s, and she passed the test. So now, she is 1 year ahead in math....

Monday, September 26, 2011

I think sometimes that I grew up too fast. Not that I'm an adult now. But, my days as a baby, a toddler, and a"kid"-well, maybe not. I still love being a kid and acting immaturely although next year I'll be in 8th grade......so you're probably thinking a terrible, adamant, disobedient, gum-chewing, i-pod listening, stinky (stinking) teenager. Of course, that's not the case for everyone. Some may not even like to be or do these things. They'd rather study more advanced levels (only after they're thorough with their level) or just be a plain kid-not the typical teenager or the advanced level teenager. But me, I have no idea how it's going to be like. But I'm sure I won't be a typical teenager. The problem with me is this. One morning I wake up and I'm like, "Yay!!!!!!!! I can't wait to do Algebra!"
The next morning though, "Oh, slurp slurp! I don't have to do math or science today. I'll just--(not skip it :D)."

Introduction

I'm sorry I keep changing my mind. I hope this is the last time I do and the story is going to be about me.

Ungh!

Dear Blog,

I know you may think it's weird that I'm talking to nothing, but I have to do a short blog because of two factors. My little brother has gone for no reason on an anger strike and my teacher put up something else for us to print and I only noticed its appearance today morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi!

I'm going to tell you one important thing you must know though about my junior high. You may get separated from your elementary school friends which is so hard to do. They will be in the same school but you may not see them much!

India Trip XVI

The next few days were rest and don't eat any junk food days. On our very last day, I recovered but took alot of rest. I would miss my grandparents very much. I wouldn't be seeing them until about 2 years. :-( The rest of the time my little brother was the one who ran in and out of the house to the other house whether he had a fever or not. That night I tried to hold back from crying when we said bye to everybody. Especially, in the airport where we left my grandparents. My grandma started crying and I felt very bad. The trip back home felt much shorter but sadder. Back at home, I felt like this was not my house. It all looked different. We slept alot and then at 7:00 we went shopping. The next few days I got a hay fever.........but the India Trip was none the best trip I had....................

Friday, September 2, 2011

bored....

I don't have much to write but that we'll soon be probably getting more homework. I also got my textbooks for English and History yesterday..... PE is seemingly hard to handle because I have to change very quickly. At least I don't think I'm going to be using my locker, so I won't be very late to class. I think I have a veeeeeeeeeery best friend. But sadly she is not any of my classes....

India Trip XV

The performance at the oldage home went pretty well. Before and After the performance people praised me and gave advice to me. It was very fun. Then after the performance my parents and I went to visit the old peoples' houses/rooms. Then we went to eat. For some reason when we went to eat and after I ate, my tummy hurt when I stood straight. So later on I could not have the privilege of enjoying seeing everything. When we reached home, I realized I actually had a high fever.....

India Trip XIV

Anyway, after that place we travelled so many places that I was too exhausted to memorise their names. hehehe :P When we returned, it was daytime so my grandparents settled down to their daily routines and I worked on math problems from my mathbook online. As the few days left flew by, I relaxed and also prepared for the performance on the 22nd...

India Trip XIII

After we left that place, we went to Kanyakumari. There is a beautiful statue of a tamil poet in the waters. Three different bodies of water merge at one point in that ocean. The Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean. Also, there is a temple on a big humongous rock at which once a famous chief India disciple, Swami Vivekananda swam across the ocean to meditate on the rock. It was very beautiful. But we only stayed there for 1 and a half days. As long as you know swimming, it is not hard to swim across the waters in India because it's warm...

Breakthrough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everybody got their schedules and we are comparing them. I got some pretty good teachers except I don't know how DeRose is, but my science teacher Bonnacorsi is said to be strict. Some of my friends got him/her for science during my school's academy. Two of my teachers require separate folders/binders. I just got folders because it will be tough to carry 3 binders. On the first day, all we have to bring to school is a binder with supplies that we were provided with and given a checklist at my school's academy. That evening, will be Back-To-School-Night. That day we have to carry our binder and 4 other textbooks.... Ungh!!!!!1

India Trip XII

Brain Builders: There is a two and three-quarters year old in 6th grade. Why is this?

When I went there to the ceremony thing I was pretty much excited! But those cousins weren't all nice to me. Like I said, they acted as if I wasn't even related to them. When I went for dinner, they kind of ignored me. All I think it was, was that I was two years younger than them and I wasn't a very close relative to them. Then after dinner, they decided they shouldn't ignore me totally, so they took me into one of the A.C. rooms and told me to sing for them. Then, they started praising me. I had a feeling they were being sarcastic. Then they randomly had one of them standing outside and two of us screaming inside the room and saw if the person outside of the room could hear the people inside...

Facebook

1st grade Teacher: Tell me one compound word.
Student (raises hand)
Teacher: Yes, Emily.
Emily: Facebook

Facebook is a very well-known website that even little kids know its existence. But is Facebook a good website for immature kids? Maybe Facebook does not allow an inappropriate-aged kid to sign-up. But that won't stop them from signing up. I am not saying Facebook is totally bad to be on. It's ok to be there occasionally but not all the time. This might be one major problem why kids  in middle school and sometimes even in elementary, don't do well academically. I hope the parents have set a specific time at which their child could be online. Thank You!

Breakthrough and India Trip XI

Breakthrough: Today, we will be having a tour of the junior high and mark some significant places. Next year, there will be not 500, not 600, but 1,100 students all together 7th and 8th grade combined.

...(continuation of India Trip X) He was so cute, I did not wish to leave him. But the next day we had to leave for Trivandrum (Thiruananthapuram) for a ceremony called "Poonal." All brahmins have to wear this white string and this was a ceremony for a boy of 8 in my family, who was going to wear a poonal for the first time in his life. Anyway, that evening we arived, we took a bath in sacred waters where once a boy who is now a sage was bitten on the leg by a crocodile. In the water was many fish. It tickles you whenever it takes dirt off you. So it is kind of a natural bath. The fish take dirt off you if you stand in one place. Sadly because the place has now become a tourist spot, people have trashed the area. Anyway, the next morning, we left for Trivandrum in a train. This was during the day, so we did not sleep much. When we arrived, I was excited. This was the first time I would see a whole different part of my family I had never seen before. Strangely, they acted as if I were their friend instead of a cousin......

Breakthrough again!!!!!!!!!!

My middle school's Academy rocks!!!!!!! It rocks, because it feels like we actually are experiencing middle school. Anyway, what I am excited about is the tour of our middle school and when we get our schedules, lockers, and locker combinations. I probably am walking home today with a couple of friends. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We actually get to see many of our friends from school. The inside of the building has alot of greenery and benches around some of the trees. It is awesome!!!!!!!

India Trip X

My mom's cousin's house which is in Kaalady wasn't that far of a car ride from the train station. When we reached the place, I noted down the fact that it was a very big house and surrounded by lush greenery. It was a very pretty place. It was a little humid at the same time. When we entered the house, the first thing I looked for was the baby. Then, I noticed th baby lying down on a hammock. When I peeked inside, I could not believe how adorable he was..... So, cuuuuuuuuuute! When we woke him up, he (the baby) started crying. We kept on trying to make him smile. Soon, it seemed like I was the one that could make him smile. My mom was able to take many pics of him smiling. Then suddenly, out of nowhere he would start wailing all over again. But, when he cried, he would puff up his lip and spit a little and then start crying. My mom said when I was his age I used to cry as much as he did, and only my mom could calm me down just like him.......

Breakthrough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to this summer orientation thing at my junior high this week . It's only half a day though. I can't wait!!!!!! Especially, 'cause many of mi amigas are coming to it.... I don't know of any boys that are coming from my school. I sure miss my friends alot though. In my old school, summer would take forever. But here at least, I could catch up on Google Buzz. I didn't know about Google Buzz. I guess I had to find it out myself. All I did was look up one of my friend's names on google and she had replied on something called Google Buzz? So I clicked the link and found a whole community of people from my school and many other schools chatting and talking. I felt a little angry inside because no one had told me about this. I was just lucky enough to stumble upon it....

India Trip IX

Thursday and Friday were hectic. Thursday, especially, because we were running back and forth from the tailor shop to our house. And believe me, with the type of warmth there is in Ambattur it was tiring! The next day we left in the evening and our train ride started at night. My grandfather bought Tinkle from a store. I continuously read the magazines but I couldn't finish two of them because my grandma told me I had to sleep because we'd have to wake up early the next morning. I slept on the middle bunk. The beds weren't very comfortable but better than how I thought they would be. After a little bit of sleep, I woke up at 4:30 a.m. I couldn't believe that I was not tired enough to sleep. When we reached Kaalady, I was excited because my mom told me there was a baby........

India Trip VIII

While we were returning to Ambattur from Hyderabad,-there was alot of security. I was not really going to say that. But anyway, the airport was very beautiful and grand. There was also two models of the airport inside. What was very different was that the airport was very open! I have never seen an airport like that before. I forgot to say that I saw this homeless person in Hyderabad at a bus stop sitting on the seat provided and had dreadlocks. We returned at night. A driver took us to a good restaurant and then dropped us off at our house. When we arrived, I felt like falling onto the bed. I was tired because of jetlag and tiredness of Hyderabad. On Friday, we were leaving for Kaaladi........

Breakthrough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I though it interesting that "Whip my Hair" was sung by a girl two years younger than me. I also found out that she was the younger sister of Jaden Smith from "Karate Kid." I still find it hard to believe.
  • One time when I was biking at my elementary school playground, I saw this one boy from my classroom playing. I did not want to show my identity. It seems he was waiting for this other boy left. I guessd this because next another guy from another classroom in 6th grade came. He searched the whole playground for the other guy. Then he left too! I was like,"Phew!" when I saw three boys each one from a different classroom in 6th grade coming to the playground. They were none other than those first two boys and a companion. From then on, I was always on the other half of the playground opposite from them.....
  • I am sooooooooo excited 'cause next week is a summer school/orientation for us incoming middle-schoolers. And, school is starting soon. There are 21 days counting the first day of school.

Monday, August 8, 2011

India Trip VII

We kept on running up the steps until we got a ll the way to the top. At the top was the roof. In India you can walk up to the roof of your house. After going up there, we came one level down where there were rooms. I went to my cousin's room and poked around at her books. I just read until I got bored. I read the book "Chicken Soup for the Kid's Soul." I mostly did my math work other than reading that book. My schedule there was do math work, eat, read book while laying down on bed, sleep, read book while sitting up, run up and down stairs for almost no reason, go to playground and try to play on the equipment, go back home and eat, watch TV, sleep. The same applied for the next day....and we  left there Wednesday afternoon.................

Friday, August 5, 2011

India Trip VI

It was Monday morning when we left, and we were coming back Wednesday evening to Ambattur. We took a flight to Hyderabad. The airport at Hyderabad was beautiful. When we arrived at my grandma's, uncle's, and aunt's house, I was amazed at how pretty the place was. Just naturally. When I got in, the moment my brother saw the steps, he was tempted to get up there. But he could not escape. My grandma hadn't seen us in 4 years so she was excited to see us. We talked for a while and then my brother and I escaped up the steps........

Thursday, August 4, 2011

India Trip V

There was alot of shopping to do today, and we were leaving for Hyderabad tomorrow, so we had to pack also. We needed clothes for our trips too so we bought things. I went to the room which used to be mine and opened the glass, see-through doors to my mini closet. In it I found many of the stuffed animals that I had left behind. We brought 2 or 3 stuffed animals back with us and all my Amar Chitra Katha books plus one I got from a bookstore in the airport. After a while, I got bored. We took alot of rest. The next morning we left for Hyderabad.........

India Trip IV

It took a while at baggage claim and we were tired. My legs were killing me for some reason. They hurt more than ever. I couldn't wait to get into an auto rickshaw or van. As we headed out, I looked for my grandparents. When we reached it was dark, but there were lights so I found my grandparents. They were so excited to see me. As we went in the car to their house, we talked and discussed about many things. Especially, my brother not speaking in our native language and how they pronounced the place we arrived at, in a funny way. Once, we reached their house and brought all our suitcases in, my brother and I stayed awake for some time until we were told to sleep. I slept well into 6:00 a.m. Then we had to wake up.....

Tuesday, August 2, 2011

India Trip III

The airport was very pretty but boring. We had to wait for 5 hours in the airport. I tried to sleep, but it was not comfortable and I kept waking up. Occasionally, I would get up and watch the TV on the other side of us because the one in front of us was CNN news and at times that would get pretty boring to watch too. After what felt like 5 billion years (5 hours), we boarded the airplane and we were airborne! The flight took a long time, and we had 2 meals in that flight. Plus, I watched Jungle Book 2. :P When we landed, my heart was filled with excitement and joy.......

Monday, August 1, 2011

India Trip II

As we got through the security check, I had this feeling-for no reason-that when I walked through it would beep. "Luckily, it did not,"I thought to myself.

The other side of the security check-as usual-was beauuuuuuuuuutiful. (I don't know what you guys think but I think it is beautiful. Especially, in the Singapore Airport.) I did miss the Singapore Airport a little when we arrived at the Hong Kong Airport but we'll get to that later. We waited for not much of a long period of time to my delight. When we got on the aircraft, I thought to myself,"14 hours of sitting around and not doing much."

When we landed, I realized this was the first time I actually had seen  Hong Kong, China.........

India Trip!!!

We just came home from India on Saturday. It was such a sad departure but the flight time in all was very short compared to the time it took us to get to India. Rewind.............. It did not take very long for our shuttle to come and we reached the airport prettty quick. I liked the rotating machine doors. The doors although were fun they sensed when a person would get in and it would wait. When we got into the airport it was not full with people but there were people standing outside, ready to flood the airport. We checked in our baggage and ate some mint thing they had for us in a bowl at the counter. Beep! I think I heard something I did not want to hear. Ugh, security checks are terrible. At least today it is not crowded with many people. There was actually a whole group coming behind us consisting of 15-20 people. Phew! We escaped!......

YMCA Camp

At the YMCA camp, I go for gymnastics and it is pretty fun. My friend from school also goes to the YMCA but for a different camp Gaga camp. I'm pretty much happy she comes because I don't really know anybody else who comes there. We go on a bus to the gymnastics place and since this is my first time going to a gymnastics place it is pretty cool. There was one trick which was pretty tough to do on the bar so I didn't do good on it but otherwise it was pretty fun. Bye!!!!!!!!

One morning in the weekends, I get up and find out it is cold and wet outside. There's no light just in my community. So, I go tot the Milpitas Library. It's nice and warm.. For some time, I do some work on the computer. Then, I do some math. I read 4 books. Then, I play some computer game. After that, I read about the Shoshone Tribe and carry on with my report on the Pomo Indians. Then, I go home with my mom. I eat my dinner, do Pixos, and then go to sleep.

Hockey Puck: I hope I don't get hi.....
Coach: Start!
Hockey Stick: (Swap)
Hockey Puck: Aah! Ouch! Ouch! Aah! Ouch! Ouch! Aah! Ouch! Ouch! I meant to say I hope I don't get hit again. Can't these people stop hitting me? Don't they know it hurts? I'm going to plan something. I'll go to Super-Magic puck.

Short Story

"Attention, we will be landing shortly."
"Mother, are we at the right place?" Camisha asked in her language so thus in a low tone.
"Yes!"she replied abruptly.
My mother left me standing there all alone and forgot me at the airport. Only when she had not come back for a day I decided she had abandoned me on purpose. I kept on calling my mother's name and lokking around but could not find her. At last, I found the person who she had stopped next to before ABANDONING me! She told me in a low whisper you're the only one in your family who is not a Sakarabru. She just left me there standing with a blank face, eyes wide open, and my mouth hanging open.

Sad, Scared, Excited

(sigh) The many feelings I have.

Sad: I will miss being a Beaver 6th grader and I'm sure all of us remember the times we enjoyed, strived, and failed. :) Next year, we won't be that same group of Beaver 6th graders but a group of Hawk 7th graders. But we won't get to be alone since we will be mixed with the Gophers, the Wildcats (maybe), and the Pioneers. But I know deep in every beaver's heart, (including the animal) they will know and remember truly who they were once....
Scared: The last ended very dramatically. I'm scared I have to give my Friday Speech on a humongous stage in front of an audience. I'm not sure whether or not I will have a big audience though. But either way staring at the audience while standing at the podium and speaking is not a fun experience at all. I know this from our rehearsals (and this time there will be parents watching also).
Excited: I'm excited since I'm going ?SOMEWHERE? soon.

YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Friday Speech

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, you are gathered here today to discuss about a habit most people on Earth have: Watching TV. My name is "Mystery Girl" and I feel that watching TV is not a good use of time. Here are some reasons why:

1) It makes you very lazy and your eyesight will get damaged.
2) Watching TV while eating is another very bad habit many people have. Not only do you not know what is going into your mouth but this is one main cause of obesity. When you're not active and eat alot you basically become obese.

So, one should think of a better way to use that time only if it is your free time to play outside. This is why I feel TV is not a good use of time. Thank you for lending your time to listen to my speech. I appreciate it very much.

Interesting Fact

Ok guys, what's 10+10/10? Simple question with no complications.
My answer:11
Unfortunately, many think the answer is 2.
Anyway, just wanted to discuss about this.
My summer camps are going pretty well and we have a speech to make on Friday. The songs I like are "Yeah 3x" by Chris Brown and "On the Floor" by Jennifer Lopez and if I'm right, Pitbull. Many of my friends like "Yeah 3x" by Chris Brown similar to me. But many of my friends make fun of the tune of "On the Floor." I guess it kind of sounds weird.

Summer Camp

Summer Camp is fun so far. I am going to Public Speaking. But today, we are going to be giving speeches for us to be elected president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary. I am participating in the fight to become secretary. I am not so sure I will win. It will probably be just like our student council election (voting for popular people). Well, that's how life goes and we can't deny it. I am really not the type that talks to everybody in my class or school whether popular or not. I am a very shy person who only talks properly to people I know very well like friends....

Intermission...

Since, we have STAR Testing today, we did not have homework last night.Today, we are doing Language Arts. I think that it was a bad decision, whoever made it, that our Math section should be done on Friday, because I have witnessed many people who seem to become very crazy on Fridays. (Poor them!)

Terrible Thing!
I got the worst grades a student who usually gets pretty good grades could get. I am the average type of person, but this time I did ok on all subjects except English.Spelling is always the best grade of course. BuT, last time I got a C+ in Social Studies and this time, I got a B+.

Intermission......

Heyyyyyyy peoples! I got third place in the (Papanasam Sivan Festival) or singing competition! I was competing against somewhat older kids than me. I think I was the youngest in the solo for the subsenior category.

Ya may be thinkin' why this girl ain't talkin' 'bout STAR Testing. Well.......
I DON'T HAVE STAR TESTING UNTIL TOMORROW! My attempt of a bunny (pig-bunny) that everybody seems to know how to make except me.

When I got up early next moening, I heard a knock at my door and this time I was sure it was an African-American. Excited, I ran up to the door and slowly opened it. Shocked, the girl fainted. "Why?" I kept asking myself. I sat down beside her and asked her to get up. She would not budge. I checked her heart to see if she was still alive. Luckily, she was. I poured some water on her and she got up, drenched.
"Are you okay?" I whispered.
"Yes, I am. How about you?"
"I am okay. But, why did you faint?"
"Never has there been my kind here. So, I see that they have bought me a new friend."
"Will I be staying with you in this cabin here, then?"
"If they are dumb enough, sure!"
"That's funny! I hope they are!"

"I'll show you who's boss!" I shouted.
"In my dreams, you will!" he shouted.
"I know I can do this! I know I can do this!" I repeated to myself again and again.
She found all the wood scraps and rocks and old cloth pieces to  build some furniture for herself. She knew she would have to settle in here for a while, because these people were definitely not going to free her for sometime or until she finds a crack and nighttime to escape. Those rarely happen in actual life. Only when mama read stories to me about slaves and those slaves were usualy with other slaves or because they were probably adults so they had smart ways to escape. I'm afrad I will have to stay here for a while. At least until my mom finally finds me after an expedition all over the United States and then the rescuing part. Sigh... I guess I have to sleep now. Good Night!

How I wish I had left with my mother now to Canada. It's all that man's fault. He left me with these extremely crazy people. "Fell for it. Eh?," sneered a voice behind me. It sounded just like the man who kept me at his house. Oh, yes it was! Now, I had gathered up my terrible temper and courage to form the worst thing of all. It is a tool I use.
"Who are you?" I said scanning him with suspicious eyes.
"Tsk, tsk. Girls at your age should not anger up like that."he cooed as he circled around me.
I was so scared that I almost forgot I was surrounded by none of my kind and shouted,"Help!"
"No one will help you little girl. You are surrounded by us..."

For now, though,I will be taking care of his children.

Bad News!

Yesterday, I went to the market to buy some groceries when two white men grabbed my wristsand put handcuffs around 'em! They mumbled something like you'll be a great maiden for the mistress. All my people shouted at them but in vain. So, I'm now writing this from a beaten-down old shack.  Guess what the beaten-down old shack is? My house!!! I'm almost to tears. "O, Moses! Save me!" I then heard somebody coming to the shack and the accent sounded just like a black person. When the door opened though, you could see very clearly that it was the mistress. "Oh, how fat and ugly she is!" I thought to myself,"I just hope her ugliness does not match up to her unfairness..."

Monday, May 2, 2011

Am I glad he invited me to his house! His kids are wonderful!! They're very young. One is probably 2 and the other a baby.

I'm sorry! I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Rebecca Smith and I'm 15. Yep, I'm 15  and still have not gone to  proper school. My mama taught all she could to me. Oh, how I miss her. I think I'll write a letter to her right now.

Next day...
I received a letter this morning. It's like letter express over here. It was from mom! She said, that she would "come over there to see me tomorrow." My uncle had made his own airplane and would let my mother come here by flight. It is an open-air plane though. I am scared of heights  and don't think I could fly back to Canada. But, I know my mother, and she will make me ride it to Canada. I know it!

Standing Up for Rights

"Hey, there! Y'all okay?"
An old man with curly hair, the type black men have, gave it off. I was happy to know, he was my kind. He helped  me off the carriage.
"It's only me here! My mother sent  me to study here for a while."
"I'm sorry kid, but black children ain't allowed to go to school here in the South. Especially, girls."
"Why not?" I asked feeling dazed about the fact that I would have to go all the way back home to Canada.
"How 'bout you stay at my house for awhile. Eh?" he asked reading my mind.
"No, thanks,"I said,"I'd better be getting back home."
"Are you sure, young lassie? 'Tis better to get some rest or you may get sick. It's a long way home ya know. While you're here how 'bout you send a letter to your mama saying you're coming home because black children ain't gonna get to to go to school 'round here."
"Fine." I said, feeling confident about his idea....

Beware...this is a sad story...(Part 6)

When she reached home, her brother welcomed her with this, "Welcome, to the house of vampires! Suit yourself."
She almost thought that her family was still a family of vampires until, he broke it with laughing out loud. Not like a vampire laugh but a human laugh. So, there our story ends.

Beware...this is a sad story...(Part 5)

The vamptessa took out her special GPS to help her spot humans. But, she found that there were no humans left in this town. Where had the girl gone? To the library of course. She found out that her whole town was infested with vampires. She concluded that her family must've been transformed into vampires also. She decided to read about it. Luckily, the doors were open. But, since no one was there, it gave an eerie feeling to the library. As she read on, she was very shocked to find out what had happened. She had to attack the life producer of this terrible vamptessa. That night, she crept into the bedroom of the vamptessa and instead, attacked the vamptessa first so as no harm would be put upon her. She found then a young girl's head. She noticed that this was the source of life.....wait a minute, had she just killed a young woman? She could not do anything about this but run away like a coward. Later, she found out a young girl had become a vamptessa. She just killed the vamptessa not the woman. She was so proud of herself. She just needed to make sure her family wasn't infested with vampires...

Beware...this is a sad story...(Part 4)

Why should she care about the Dark Lady? In her mind after all, the Dark Lady was the one who brought her to this state. It happened though, that the girl started to enjoy being mean to others and could not get out of the habit. Whenever somebody hired her, the business seemed to start falling apart. Many said that she was a bad omen and would not hire her. She was what you would call an attractive girl by day and a vamptessa by night. Soon, though, she started to take over the town she had been in. Everybody, she thought, had been convertrd into vampires or vamptessas. But she missed one girl, one girl who had been working so hard on her homework, she did not even notice her older brother or parents gone from the house until she finished and started searching for them all over the house. (The next part  is kind of awkward and funny.) One day all the vampires shouted to her, "You have missed one O mighty one! She may be greater than you and the divine vamptessa." Not funny yet.....

Beware...this is a sad story...(Part 3)

Evilness crept up the girl's back the very next morning. The Dark Lady was very amused by this and when the girl told her she did not feel good, the Dark Lady laughed delightfully for she had accomplished her task on a mere girl of 4. After all these weird happenings, the girl whose brain had not become crooked, decided to see how she looked. When she stared at herself, she shrieked with fear. She had seen something like this in a book. A vampire, but not exactly. So scared of herself, she did not even want one hand to touch her face as she wept, so she would just let her tears well up and pour from her eyes until it all dried up. As she grew up, she appeared to be eye candy, but pierced a man's heart with her sharp words, which I can not speak of in this story. "Delightful! Delightful!" the Dark Lady would say, appearing out of nowhere. But, the vamptessa, the girl, would turn her face on the sight of the Dark Lady....

Beware...this is a sad story...(Part 2)

Where she lived, many do not know. But, they do know that this girl, just this girl, had to be the one chosen as the maiden for the Dark Lady. When she was found, the girl was 4 and able to walk around and talk properly. So, what else did the Dark Lady do but tell the girl, "Get to work right away girl! I have no time for whining or crying! Git! Git!"
With the attitude, of a little girl, she would always shout at her,"Why?! Why?!"
The girl did not like this person but did not run away when the Dark Lady was about to capture her, because she had almost though this was her mother. As she stayed with the Dark Lady, she became dark. There was no one who could rescue her from this...this lady because she had become part of the "Dark Side" now.

Beware...this is a sad story...

It was a pitch-black,windy night. A girl stood there hugging herself in the cold as terrible memories  of her mother came to her. It was not her mother's fault, but a very absurd law that stated a woman had to get rid of her child at once, if it was a girl. Of course, what memories would be in this girl's mind but that her mother abandoned her because of hatred of her daughter. This girl who had some love in the edge of her heart still, for her mother, always had a hope within herself that her mother must be searching for her. Why does she still have that hope? Well, it had only be 2 years since her mother abandoned her. She cried now and then, and since she could not walk properly, she would occasionally scrape her knee. Her skin, day by day, became rough. She had but only one comfort which was a white kitten whom cozied her as she slept. Thus, her first word became kitty...

The Personality of Chrissy (Part 2)

Uh oh! Here goes Chrissy again.
It's ok though, we'll just continue. Pardon me if she disturbs us. She's not always like this. It's probably the Mayday Dance. Since, a month back she walked away from me, telling me that she had to practice her song for the talent show. I then went to the playground and did all the tricks I used to do with my IG friends. I spotted the place she was seated in. But, once I was done, and checked to see if Chrissy was still there, she was missing. I looked all around the play area. Then, finally, deciding that Chrissy, probably angry at me now, had ditched me. I planned to go to the library. Then, I saw her coming out of the bathroom and she looked like she was searching for something. But, I still felt she was angry at me. I then, quickly walked to the library, went to the yearbook section, and pulled out the year that Chrissy was in 4th grade. I stared at her picture for a very long time. (Elders say it is pretty rude.) Soon, the bell rang to end recess. Everybody who was with me in the library, started walking towards the playground. I followed them since I never had been to the library during recess, before. Then, Chrissy saw me and came up to me and said,"Where were you?"
I told her I went to the library and looked at the yearbooks. I asked her, "HEEEEEEEHEE. Yom Yom."

Oh, whatever. That was not the important part so it does not really matter. But, I feel terribly sorry for ditching Chrissy.

The Personality of Chrissy

Duh, it was a time machine plan. Chrissy thought she could only finish it at the end of the school year, but she finished it during Spring Break! I told Chrissy to give me that paper she had grabbed from me some days back, to make sure that's what it was about. I put a dot that no one else would have noticed on the folds of the paper. When she gave it to me, I checked to see if the dot was there. It was there and I opened it up to find a time machine plan. But anyway, back to what we focused on last post.

May 25, 2011
It's Mayday Dance today! We girls already had our May Pole meeting like, a long time ago.
Heeeheeeheee
Don't mind that. It's just Chrissy in her crazy mood.(It's worse when she gets to know you face-to-face. She goes terribly crazy.) Anyway, I'll continue tomorrow morning when Chrissy is in her sleepy mood.....

P.S. Because I go crazy with her sometimes....

Chrissy ran to someone telling me to wait. Then, I saw a piece of paper fly out of her pocket. For a second, I thought about returning it to her without reading it. Nevertheless, I was curious, when I was about to open it, Chrissy jumped and grabbed the paper from my hands. "What is it?"I had asked.

May 5, 2011
"OMG! Talent show tryouts are today for me!"I shouted to Nav.
(Oops!! Wrong place!)

May 25, 2011
Ok, now this is exciting! Today's "May Day Dance!"
(Chrissy! Stop going into the future! Let's continue our lives from here because it is the most fantastic day of all in this year! Except graduation, Science Camp, and swim party.) Now, you may guess what the paper was all about.

My Journal

Today, I get to see Chrissy. I'm thinking about writing a story about me and Chrissy. So here it goes.

The Personality of Chrissy

I always felt like I was following her around. "Chrissy!" (or) "Christina!" But what more could I do? She was my best friend. We mostly had the same tendencies to do things. Inside myself, I felt like I had known her since I was little. Now, in this story I feel like the IG people are our rivals. The reason being they thought that the CG was racist for them calling our group Indian and their group Chinese. What's the big deal about that? Huh? It's what you are people! Face it! So, yeah, I don't understand their point there anyway. One day, as me and Chrissy were walking down the halls for recess,.......

My Journal

I've been talking about what me and Chrissy did over two school days. But, I did not even introduce us.

Chrissy: My most best friend above all. In my opinion, she is never mean. Amazingly, I may be the only one who thinks that, but I'm not sure. She can go crazy at times. Otherwise, she is a very good friend.

Chrissy does have many friends at our next-year school also. I am hoping to be really good friends with Chrissy.

My Journal

One lunch recess, me and Chrissy went to play "Capture the Ball." When we got there, we had to split teams. My side, I guess had a lot of good players because we won a whole game very quickly. After the game though, many people started taking a long time to earn the points. When we captured three balls, somebody on the other team, would take the balls we got and kick it to their side. After that, we had 1o' clock recess in which I was bored because Chrissy was making her solar oven. Then we had "Letter Reward," which is a time where if you did not get two write-ups in a week there are some activities we get to enjoy. This time we played kickball. For some reason, I failed. I had earned points for my team before but for some reason I did not win.

My Journal

"...so, Chrissy, could I come over to your house?"
"Sorry, I can't today. How about Tuesday so we could study for the Science Test?"
"Aw........I'm not available then."
That's how it always went. Me and Chrissy were best friends but the days that worked out for her did not work for me and vice-versa. Me, Chrissy, Amber, Alice, and some boys would all play tag. But, now and then, something went wrong with the boys and they would walk away for no reason. Then, we would be left alone. And out of nowhere would come, IG's previous captain. She would take Alice with her. Then, when Chrissy and I start talking, Amber would just walk away with Alice and that person. At that point, me and Chrissy would talk or discuss something about one of them. Mostly, Alice. We were worried about how she was changing into a meanie. One time, we were so bored, that Chrissy asked what we should do during recess. I told her that we could probably work on some homework so we would be free at home with only a little homework to do, probably. But then everyday, the boys would change their minds and start playing again.

One thing I do not like at all is that a Republican is running for next year's president. He is Romney. I am not so sure things will be working well. It's tough to bring up U.S. into its original place again whether a Republican or Democrat did it. With budget cuts in elementary already, I'm wondering how middle school will be. We'll probably have "Early Release" and "No School" on many days next year. Let's just hope we can fix this all up soon.

Gasoline Reaching High Prices

As some of you in America may have already noticed, gas prices are rising. I am not sure if this is true but I think California has the most average of prices. One time, I saw a gasoline station with the price of $4.21 per gallon for just regular gasoline. Most people say that the gas prices are rising mainly because they couldn't get crude oil. But, why can't they? The stirs in the Middle East are causing us to not have any crude oil. The Libyan rebels fighting for freedom from their ruler is an example. I just hope it won't be raised to something like $6.25 per gallon!

Most of you should know somewhat a little about what I'm going to be talking about now. America is having a budget crisis. On Thursday, we will find out if the federal companies will be closing down or not. One example are the schools having budget cuts. NASA and the US Department of Agriculture are two examples. Let's hope there won't be any shutdown.

If you say something is cheesy, in other words you can say it is syrupy. Usually used to describe movies and books, alot of people do not enjoy these types of movies. Books that are turned into movies other than Disney ones, may be very syrupy or cheesy. I don't think syrup on cheese would taste good so I don't think these movies will be enjoyable to watch.

Can you keep a straight face when you are about to play a practical joke on someone? Depending on how funny the joke is, I can keep a straight face. Usually, though, girls have a hard time doing this because they can get the giggles. I used to laugh a lot. Now, I'm trying my best to hold my laughs. I only laugh if my friends have an embarrassing blooper. I have something funny to tell you now.

Yesterday, we had gone to the computer lab and we had to sit in number order. I'm #16. Behind me and in front of me were boys. The boy in front of me made farting noises the whole time our teacher had been gone. When she came in and started giving announcements, that boy, so consumed in making those noises, made a farting noise. Our teacher eyed him mostly as she continued to talk.

This may not seem funny to you, but if you actually witnessed it, you would know.

Are you lily-livered? Most of the time I am. Depending on the situation, I will chicken out on things. Another meaning of lily-livered is to be scared of rides like roller coasters or swinging hard on a swing or bungee jumping. For some reason, I feel sick after swinging on a swing for a while. I think this is because ever since I was little I hated wind in my face and know I'm gong on a swing that is open--air and the wind brushes against you. For me to not think about it, I just sing while I swing. That kind of rhymes! :) Now, teachers may have told you this when you were in kindergarten and people still do it in 6th grade. It is called snitching. Snitch means to tell on someone when somebody is in a grudge with someone else. But, people tell on someone even if it is not a big deal. It makes it into a situation like the story,"The Boy Who Cried Wolf." So please don't be a snitcher and more people will care about you even if you are not their friend.

Many people in this new generation to come, may be vidiots. Not necessarily meaning they are not smart just because they play video games, watch T.V. and the like. But because they are addicted to it. People that are not smart and are vidiots have to stop being vidiots and idiots and be more wise. Tee hee. I think that was a little too strong for your ears. Anyway, I'm practically taking a stand on this subject right now because it won't be a good result in the future.
The picture below, I thought, was related to what I was talking about.

The Egyptian cobra which had been missing at the Bronx Zoo, March 26th has been found! Now, Bronx Zoo and The New York Daily are asking people in the public to vote for their favorite name for this mischievous cobra. Following are the options:
 - Agnes, which is Greek for pure or holy, and is also a reference to St. Agnes.

- Amaunet, an ancient Egyptian goddess, meaning 'the female hidden one."

- Cleopatra, the last ruler of ancient Egypt, who supposedly killed herself by means of an Egyptian cobra bite.

- Subira, which is Egyptian for patient.

- Mia, an abbreviation for Missing In Action.

Surprisingly, more people were excited and amazed about the cobra being lost rather than be scared. Its venom could kill a human in 15 minutes! But people were scared that the snake might slither down their chimney and somehow get into their homes. The zookeepers say they lured the snake in by scattering around rodent-scented shavings.

Are any of you guys pretty laid-back? or Are you guys always tensed up and a worrywart? As you probably guessed, being laid-back means to be calm and relaxed. It does not necessarily mean to be lazy which probably most of you would have thought if I had not given you a clue.

"When the going gets tough, the tough get going."
This means when your surroundings are becoming too tough for you the tough people start helping. But this usually happens in places like businesses and schools. It is said the father of John F. Kennedy made this quote up. If somewhere other than businesses and schools are too tough for you it's better to leg it.

Would any of you go into a postmodem depression if you had to stay somewhere there were no electronics? Now if you guessed that it meant to be depressed because no electronics were around, you are right. Science Camp was pretty much a place where some people would not be in this depression, but would have been very sad to not be able to use electronics.

Does anyone get very thrilled if they get a  new e-mail or a new message on their cell phone? If they do, they have textual satisfaction. I don't really have textual satisfaction since I don't care about what I get in my e-mail or phone. Most people who have not used electronics in a while will have textual satisfaction though.

Traces of Nuclear Radiation in the U.S.

At least 15 states reported detecting radioisotopes in air or water or both. No states have recommended that residents take potassium iodide, a salt that protects the thyroid gland from radioactive iodine.
Iodine-131 was detected in the air at South Carolina, Florida, and in elevated levels in the air at Maryland. The East Coasts, West  Coasts, and Caribbean Coasts states must be very cautious. As I found out last week, most of the rain which has been pouring down on us was radioactive.

Normal sleep a 'privilege' for night workers

Many people probably work on a night-shift. On Wednesday, two airplanes landed at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport shortly after midnight without an air traffic controller. Studies say that Night workers are at higher risk for heart disease, diabetes, and other conditions. With their bodies making them want to sleep during the night, shift workers say they struggle to stay awake no matter how many years they've done it.

In some larger airports, you may have seen encased glass fishbowls for human fishes. You may glance to them and feel sorry for them to become slaves of this dreaded habit. You may all know R. Kelly for his famous song: "I Believe I can Fly." (Well, actually , you may not know him but you probably know the song.)
There is another great song he sang. It is called "Sign of a Victory." It was sung (like "Saminamina") at the World Cup 2010 South Africa but as an anthem. I think this song is very inspirational and recommend everybody to listen to it. Here are some of the lyrics:

I can see the colors of the rainbow,
and I can feel the sun on my face,
I see the light at the end of the tunnel,

I am learning Chinese. Ni Hao means hello.
"Ni Hao, Ni Hao Ma?" (Hello, How are you?)
I may not get the correct pronounciation, until I listen to my friends speak it. For now, this is all I know.

My Journal

The extreme weather continues on. In Santa Clara areas, it is worse than where I live. Yesterday, while we were driving by there, we saw trees that had fallen. In my school today, we have the Jog-A-Thon. Luckily, it will not rain the time that we participate in it. We will all have a popsicle at the end of the Jog-A-Thon.  Every participant will get a ribbon. Whoever raises $100 or more gets to play playground ball. The highest earner in each grade will get an Aqua Adventure Park Pass and the highest earning classroom in each grade gets an ice-cream party.

Yesterday, we had some extreme weather. I'll tell you what happened yesterday to me...
Everybody came inside for a 15 minute recess. Then, when everybody had switched to their math classes, it began to slightly drizzle. I then noticed I had left my P.O.W. (Problem of the Week) which was due today in my backpack which was inside my homeroom class. I asked my math teacher if I could get it. I ran into my homeroom class (not literally) took it from my backpack. Once I entered math class, they announced a lockdown because of the extreme rain. We had to stay inside the classroom we were in and lock the doors. If I was not in my math class at that time they announced the lockdown, I would have had to stay in my homeroom class.

What Friendship Can Become

Our friendship was held together
with bonds as strong as the Earth,
But a wave stronger--
stronger than the tsunami's wave,
An earthquake stronger than Japan's,
a nuclear power plant blast,
You let a small gap to be broken away from you
So you may see that our friendship was a very weak one,
Not even stronger than Japan's survivors

This is a lesson for all friends: Make sure it is not a dirty house before you move in.
You will regret it if you don't. This is how friendship can change. :D

Nothing new on the news. Many people though, are discovering their families gone. After the tsunami and quake came a blizzard. The Japanese are saying,"What have we done for such a thing to happen?"I feel terribly sorry for them. I very much hope they can recover. Some U.S. citizens are working their way in bringing their relatives to the United States.......

Tsunami in Hawaii causes tens of millions of dollars in damage in Hawaii

Luckily, there weren't any people injured or dead or any houses that collapsed. But, the tsunami in Japan brought some powerful waves to Hawaii killing some seabirds and destroying ships. It mostly hit Big Island and some islands just got affected by it. The King Kamehameha Beach Hotel was flooded on the first floor with sand and rocks on the ground. But tourists were still welcomed. The governor of Hawaii, Neil Abercrombie says that tens of millions of dollars were lost and he plans to visit the damaged areas.

Anxiety in Japan grows as rescue workers find more bodies

Japan is mainly made up of elders and many of them died in this quake. I think and hope that most of the children survived with just some injuries. It was said that a man once at a shelter said he would not let go of his three-week old child. It is sad to think that people that witnessed it and went to higher levels had to see the water and the ground destroy their homes. Some while escaping, died. More than 2,000 people were reported dead today in Japan.

Blast at Japanese nuclear power reactor building

Now everybody in Japan must be recovering from the tsunami/earthquake. They realize that some of their loved ones are missing. Today, Monday morning in Japan, a nuclear power plant in Japan had a blast and six people were injured. Reports say that it was not a massive leak. 180,000 people that lived within 20 km (12 mi) of the power plant were ordered to leave.

Yesterday was pretty dangerous but kind of funny too. My recycling partner and I do the recycling job. We split it between ourselves and do the job. Before recycling, everybody had to clean out their desk. So, I lost 5 minutes on that. Then, while I was dumping all the paper, the box/bucket thing slipped out of my hands' grip and fell with a THUD! into the main recycle thing. Tensed up by all the stories I heard about this same incident, I went into the dumpster to see if I could carry the bucket with me out there. When I realized that the only way would be to throw the bucket out and climb out, I decided not to do it. It would probably attract attention. It's a good thing I thought about that because some boys were on their way and I would have been in big trouble. I found out later that Dumpster Diving was not allowed by the way the manager of all recyclers (a sixth-grade teacher) said it to me. At first I thought it was funny, but then I later realized how much trouble I would've been in that day. Not just getting a write-up but also what if I could not have climbed out of that recycling thing. I was saved by God's grace. D:

Today I hope will be a good day. Nothing exciting though. We're just going to the computer lab to do some project. I keep on thinking about next year sometimes. But, there may be lots more work to do there. So, I guess I should enjoy these moments while I can. Or else, I will have a big challenge ahead of me. The thing I'm excited about is our different environment. It has its downfalls too though. If you are late to your next class. you will get detention. 2 detentions in a week is equal to Saturday School. I hope I do not have to go to Saturday School just because I was late to class two times in one week...

My Essay: Response to Lit.

                                                The Secret of Fire

Have you ever wondered where humans obtained fire? The Nez Perce folktale, "The Secret of Fire" written by Kristi Madison tells how fire was obtained. This story takes place in a forest. It takes place before people came into the world.

This legend takes place in the Pacific Northwest before people were on Earth. The Pines were the only creatures to have fire and they refused to share it with the other creatures. This went on for many winters. But one very cold winter, the animals and trees were afraid they would freeze to death. Beaver had an idea to solve this problem.

That evening, the Pines all made a fire and some guards guarded around so as to keep the other animals and trees away. Beaver hid in a brush close by. Just then a big gust of wind blew one piece of live coal to Beaver. Beaver, taking the piece, started swimming away, the Pines behind his back. Soon, the Pines and one Cedar grew tired of chasing Beaver and stopped. The Cedar told the Pines that he would watch, from their view of the mountain, what Beaver was doing. As Cedar went on reporting who Beaver was giving The Secret of Fire to, the Pines just moaned.
They knew that the method to make fire would no longer be a secret.

As the story reaches the end, the message becomes clear. The author wants us to realize the importance of sharing. As we learned when we were little,"Sharing is Caring."This story also teaches you that if you do not share, you may have bad luck.

This is what the Nez Perce folktale "The Secret of Fire" can teach us. We also learned how this tribe believes humans obtained fire. Once again, this folktale has, in an interesting way taught us how important sharing is. So, I hope everyone in the world gets a chance to read this folktale.

Not going really good... I made new friends already. They are very kind so I do not really mind. At 1:00 recess, two of the girls let me join the Moving Club. In the Moving Club, you just run voluntarily and can just get a shirt or a little key chain. The funny thing is, I didn't know what I was doing until we went to our P.E. teacher to write down the date and how many laps we ran. I ran the laps without knowing what I was doing.

I love my life now. Our friend that was out sick will be coming today! I'm also almost freed from all my assignments. Have to work on the book report really hard! Otherwise, I can't wait to go to school.... Sometimes, I think too deep into things I don't need to necessarily. So then, it makes me feel like life is boring! Anyway.... bye!

My Journal

Ok, it's a waste to talkk about this friendship in my blog. Our friendship is a weird one. First, we get angry at each other and then the next day we become friends again. Then, we get angry at each other again. So, I guess we will be going back and forth between friends. If it starts irritating me, I'm just going to escape from their island and move to another one.  For now, I will have to put up with them.

You know how friendship can break sometimes.....it's not pretty! It makes my throat get a bump in it as tears just flow down my cheeks.

"things are not going very well in friendship land..."
That's what I told my friend who had been absent. I warned her since she had been absent. Now, it was up to her to choose the side. The two girls that I despise very much used to be pretty nice-at least one of them. Now, they aren't. They're cutting the friendship line so that people they despise, will fall into the ocean of students. Luckily, we have other good friends. So, even they don't care about us two, we don't mind. Anyway, I'm just there to support my friend that they are being mean to. I feel they are ignoring her and now they will start ignoring me...

My Journal

I'm trying to make more friends than just the group I hang out with. The reason being, we won't  really be together for long. There are two parts that the group splits into. One of them, is a group that hates one of our group members. They always separate into a corner of the playground and talk about it. The other group is made up of the hated  members plus some others that do not which group to be in. Like me. It's really hard for me to be the type that gossips bad stuff about someone else. Seriously, that is not why I even became friends with these people. And as sad as it is, I might not even be their friends next year. I may have to break away and find someone else if they keep this up. But for now, I will try my best to put up with them.....

So, some last few details about my next year school. There will be a meeting held at the middle school gym. I want to show my mom how to get to the school. But, I'm not sure I would get to show them inside the school to where the gym is until Tuesday. That's probably the end of my little tour of the middle school.

THANK YOU!

We would get to select an elective course.

  1. Communications/Speech
  2. Drama 1
  3. French 1
  4. Spanish 1
Above are listed the elective courses in priority order. We were supposed to choose six choices. But, I could not decide on anything else. My hopes are to get into Communications/Speech or Drama 1. Next were the Honors.
If you are qualified for all three honors you get to choose whatever you want. All the people in this school other than me took either a STAR test or a SAT test in fifth grade. So, for them, honors would be determined from their 5th grade tests. For me, I took neither in 5th grade. So, it all depends on my 6th grade STAR scores.

My Journal

The middle school said that it would be really hard trying to balance al three subjects in honors. But if you want to take a challenge, you can try it out. I am for sure qualified for Math honors. But, now English and Science need my SAT scores also. Other than my 6th grade grades. Now, let's get to the tour. As we exited the MUR, I was excited. First, we  went to the classroom of one of my favorite teachers. He is an algebra teacher. Then we got to go into the Girls' Locker room. The boys also went into the Girls' Locker room. After that, our tour guide just pointed out places and what we would be doing there. Instead of using the MUR,  The last place we visited was the office. Some lucky group, got candy from there. I'm jealous of them. Once we walked back to school, every 6th grader was discussing the trip. We could not wait to get our registration form. The End.

My Journal

Yesterday, I told you that we were going to visit my middle school. I'll tell you what we learned and describe how the school looks. Interesting thing that I learned was we start official school at 8:15. We have to be on campus between 7:50 and 8:10. School ends at 2:20! WE have lunch break for 35 minutes, and during lunch time, there are sometimes activities held. On a regular basis at lunch time after you finish your lunch, you can go to a club. For example, Book Club, Art Club, Math Club etc. are some choices. Besides this, we get lockers in which to put our books. Our classes will each be 50 minutes with 6 different subjects and 5 minutes to grab our books and go to the next class. The first 5 subjects you definitely know from elementary are, math, english, science, history, and P.E. The 6th subject is known as an elective where you get to choose an extra-other-than-main-subjects thing to do. I probably will be going into Communication/Speech or Drama. Another thing we have is of course library. HONORS! HONORS! HONORS! Probably the dream of every parent. Subjects you could get into honors for are math, english, and science. How to get into honors for each subject (this requires you to get good grades in your last year of elementary):
MATH: Good 5th grade STAR score and an average in the A or B range
ENGLISH: (same thing)
SCIENCE: If you have whatever is required in math and english, I guarantee you will get into science honors.
Another thing is, your parents have to decide whether or not they want you to go to all the honors' classes. (To be continued tomorrow...)

Today we are going on a visit to my next year school. WHOOT! WHOOT! Middle School!!!!!!!!!!!!! We get to go on a tour around it. Everybody is talking about it! But the topic most everybody was talking about (including me) is the weather. The weather forecast is seeming ok today. Luckily, it says 0% precipitation today. I just can't wait. I guess that's why I have terrible grammar in this post. Anyway, toodle-oo!!!!!!!!!

I converted the manga girl into a version of me. On Feb. 15th, my little brother's classroom had a 100th day celebration. Each child could bring a sibling that goes to the same school, to their class. I went to his class for the celebration and what happened was first, the kindergarteners counted up to 100. At every multiple of ten, a balloon would pop. Then we went to the desks of our siblings. THere, we had to make a graph of different colored gummy bears. After we made the graph, we ate the gummy bears and it was time to leave. We said bye to our siblings and I went to the playground just in time to see one of my friends and line up with her.

At school, we are starting new chapters in Math, Science, and Social Studies. In science, we are learning about sources of energy like fuel. Math is mainly focused on Geometry now and in Social Studies, we are learning about Egypt. As you all may know, there is a protest going on in Cairo because they do not like their government. I am not sure if it is still going on though.  Yesterday, school was closed so I settled down to draw a Manga girl. It came out really good and I am deciding to post it on my blog. Ok, bye!

Seeing them run, I got more enthusiastic and started kicking the ball very far from them. Just then, the bell rang and I ran after the ball before one of the other girls could get it. I, placed  the soccer ball on the rack with my friend. We went to line up. It was very fun. So soon, all our friends started playing soccer with us.

Yesterday, me and one of my class friends went to give candy grams to two teachers. I gave it to the teacher in Room 2 and my friend had to give the candy gram to our P.E. teacher. Once I was done with my assigned teacher, we walked together towards one of the sixth grade classrooms, Rm. 18. (I am in sixth grade.) We were told that we had to say "Special Candygram Delivery." So when my friend asked me what we were supposed to say I said, "Special Candygram Delivery." Instead though, when we got to our P.E. teacher, she said, "Special Telegram Delivery." I laughed tons. The whole time Rm. 18 was watching us and it felt embarrassing. Luckily, we had friends in Rm. 18 and not totally foes...

My Journal

I think I want to be a biotechnician when I grow up. That is the field I think I want to study in. Also, for my school's end of the year talent show thing, I'm going to be singing "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera. Weird things are happening with our group. The one that was our kind of leader got angry at two of my friends and so now she's trying to act all nice to them and act like nothing happened. Out of the whole group, 3 of us would play a game where we had to kick the ball away from each other. In one of the games, me and girl 1 were kicking the ball. Girl 2 was too tired to kick it away so she just followed us. At one point, I tripped over the ball but didn't fall hard because I was able to support myself. Instead, me and Girl 1 collapsed on the grass and started laughing really hard. Now, all of us form a weird shape and spread out really far. We hog 2 of the soccer balls (no one really plays soccer) and kick them to each other. Later, for some reason, my brain told me to start kicking the soccer ball away from them. At first, they did not realize I did that so they just went on. Then Girl 1 and Girl 2 started chasing me...

Ping-pong

Last, last, last week, I was on the last or the 5th table. Then the following weeks I went straight up to the 3rd table. I won everybody on the 3rd table, so this week I will go to the 2nd table. The 1st table consists of some coaches and very good players children and adults. My aim is to try my best to either stay on the 2nd table or win everybody on the 2nd table and be moved up to the 1st table!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
