Chemical Compound of the Day: Nitric oxide

Nitric Oxide is a sweet-smelling, colorless, gas. In its liquid form, it is a bluish liquid. In its solid form, it is a bluish-white snow-like solid. It is one of five oxides. The other four oxides of nitrogen are: Nitrous Oxide (N20), Nitric Oxide (NO), Dinitrogen Trioxide (N203), and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2). Even though it is toxic in the environment it plays important roles in the human body. Extra info:
