Today, the word is deify. Do you have any idea as to what it means? I didn't, until I looked it up in the dictionary. It means to worship like a god or goddess. In the book: STAR OF KAZAN, Author:Eva Ibbotson Illustrator: Kevin Hawkes, Zed explains to the people of Vienna that took care of a girl named Annika before her mother took her away, that Annika worshipped her mother.
